Dwight Howard Will Bounce to Houston: Dwight Howard has decided to sign with the Houston Rockets, USA Today first reported. His representatives told the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers he wouldn't be choosing those teams.

We'll see if McHale still has a sense of humor come next spring. Cuban may turn out to be very fortunate indeed.

Yeah, I can't say "didn't get Howard" is proof that Dallas is in decline.

We still have to wait for this to be official. It's Dwight Howard, anything could happen between now and the 10th.

It's more fun if he goes to Houston. Golden State will be just fine with Bogut minding goal. Well, if he stays healthy anyway, but you could say the same for Dwight.
I wonder what Houston's offense is going to look like. Are the Rockets going to give Dwight all the post-ups he wants or is he going to embrace his roll as the greatest roll man in the league? Harden is so good at PnR I don't know if you can justify giving Dwight a lot of straight post-ups. Probably could have said the same thing about Nash in the PnR last year, though.

Exactly. All the talent in the world isn't going to change the fact that Howard sees himself as an elite post-up player. He'd rather go 42-40 getting the ball dumped into him over and over than 60-22 playing a secondary offensive role.
Jordan and Kobe had that kind of selfishness too, only thing is that is different is they had the offensive chops to back it up.

Can't wait to hear what Howard's complaints are this season.

I was hoping he'd end up in Dallas, despite the risk involved in taking on the indecisive giant. Whatever magic Cuban had when he was building the team from mediocrity to a championship is gone.
