The Falcons and the Vikings have been toying around with some new design concepts for stadia. I hope that Falcons idea is feasible--I would go there just to take a tour. (I would, however, leave that picture of the basketball configuration out of the slideshow. Ugh, I hate basketball in an enormous football stadium.)

The Falcon proposals look pretty sweet Reminds me of an episode of Build It Bigger/Extreme Engineering that covered the construction of the new stadium in Melbourne, very cool stuff can be done these days if the owners are imaginative enough.

The "Tiger lied" story is getting pretty embarrassing. I think that there are a lot of people who never liked him but kept their mouths shut prior to the scandal who now feel like they can say whatever they want about him.

Incoming Jets QB David Garrard has retired. I was looking forward to seeing him have a shot at getting back on the field again.

Boy, talk about a guy who just never had a chance. Between being on the Jaguars and... well, that was pretty much it, actually. Just "being on the Jaguars" killed what could have been a really good career.

Garrard led the 2007 Jags team that went 11-5 and beat the Steelers in the first round of the playoffs, so it's not like he had no chance at all. He was a starter for five seasons, and part of the reason they weren't in the playoffs more than once was on him. His play was inconsistent.

Crohn's Disease didn't help either. Pretty impressive he got on the field at all.
