Louisville Wins NCAA Championship: Louisville rallied from a 12-point deficit to beat Michigan 82-76 in the NCAA championship basketball game Monday night. Luke Hancock scored 22 off the bench to lead the scoring for the Cardinals. Rick Pitino becomes the first coach to win the title with two schools. He also won it with Kentucky in 1996. Kevin Ware, the guard who broke his leg in gruesome fashion in the regional final, watched from his seat at the end of the bench.

Great game! It was awesome that after game they lowered the basket so that Ware could cut the net as well.

Congrats to Louisville!

One heck of a game. Had a bit of Hagler-Hearns in it at times. Too bad the level of the officiating wasn't commensurate with the level of the competition.

Now we'll have to see if Louisville's women's team can repeat the feat tonight against U Conn. That would be a tall order.

A disappointing end to what was a great tournament run. The City of Ann Arbor probably had mixed emotions, since the loss resulted in a largely quiet night. The bars all filled up by mid-afternoon so finding somewhere to watch the game was a bit of a hassle.

But Michigan was simply outplayed by Louisville in the second half. It was frustrating to watch. Thankfully Tim Hardaway stuck to his tournament form and was unable to hit much of anything from beyond the paint.

Nothing more satisfying than watching Michigan lose. Nothing.

There were a few moments there where it looked like Louisville couldn't put anything up in the paint, and Michigan was playing above the rim. But you knew after Louisville fell behind but managed to lay a smackdown before the second-half even started that it was all over.
