N.C. State Player Saves Wheelchair-Bound Fan: After N.C. State upset No. 1-ranked Duke Saturday and fans stormed the court, Will Privette got a friend to push him onto the court in his wheelchair but quickly was knocked down among the celebratory mob. Wolfpack player C.J. Leslie saw the fallen fan, cleared a path and picked him up. After he fell, Privette said he thought, "OK, this is not going to end well at all."

Dick Vitale and the play-by-play guy (Mike Patrick?) were genuinely concerned, first about their own safety as the fans gathered at courtside, and then were horrified when they saw the guy in the wheelchair being pushed onto the court. Good to know someone was looking after him.

If Duke beats NC State at home next month, wonder if the Cameronians will rush the court with a fleet of able bodied people being galloped around in requisitioned wheelchairs.
They wouldn't do that. Would they?

Seeing him toppled by the crowd is alarming. Leslie did a pretty remarkable thing to recognize the situation quickly enough to rescue him.
