LeBron James: Basketball is Fun Again: After a difficult first season with the Miami Heat that ended with an NBA Finals loss to the Dallas Mavericks that's often blamed on how he played, LeBron James said that he's over the ignominious defeat and having fun again. "It's all about playing for the love of the game, and I'm back to that 9-year-old kid who started playing basketball a long time ago," said James, who's been developing his low-post game. "I've been working on it a lot, and I'm looking forward to implementing it into a game situation."

A real sign of dedication to the pro game for LeBron to feel like there are still things he needs to learn about low post play after all the years he spent watching and learning from Ilgauskas.

Am I correct to believe LeBron himself is the only person on the planet who isn't tired of hearing about LeBron James ? The phrase "legend in his own mind" certainly applies.

No, you're not correct.

cixelsyd - I am with you but I am not tired of hearing about Lebron, I am tired of hearing about Lebron from Lebron. The article was insightful as to the fact he still doesn't get it. Now he is talking about how he is improving his game, great but he always acted like his game was fine and he did not have a ring because he couldn't do it alone. It is a great first step that he now is looking to his own improvement to get him over the championship hump rather than complaining he can't do it alone or doesn't have enough help. As if anybody could ever do it alone. Even on a team with the best record in the NBA while in Cleveland, he complained the team wasn't good enough instead of acknowledging that he may not have been good enough when it mattered the most. He got his help and still doesn't have a ring. He might have gotten one had Bosch and Wade gotten a little more help at critical moments from him.

He still thinks people were mad because he left Cleveland and doesn't realize, it was the way in which he left, and that dog and pony show of a special he used to make the announcement that made a lot of fans root for him to fail. For a guy who use to like to portray himself as marketing expert (with his own marketing company) he seems to have little understanding on how to enhance his own image. I think the real reason he isn't well liked these days by fans is that the more you know him the more you don't want to. All the years he portrayed himself as that home town guy, playing for the home town team to bring them a championship, and he had that fan admiration built on that was destroyed by some poor marketing judgement and an over inflated ego.

If he doesn't get a ring this year basketball will probably not be fun again for him.

I'm not tired of LeBron. Seeing whether he recovers from the NBA Finals loss is one of the storylines I'm looking forward to this season.
