An angry sportswriter's King James Bible: Just over a year ago, ESPN aired The Decision, that ill-fated hour-long special in which NBA star LeBron James bailed on his seven-year professional relationship with the Cleveland Cavaliers. For lifelong Cleveland fan Scott Raab, that moment was personal.

I hope this is not going to be trend. Books by fans because they are angry at the sports star of the day. To some extent, it strikes me that someone has likely lost some perspective if they are spending that much time on it.

The book isn't entirely about LeBron although the title is a bit misleading.
The Whore of Akron (its title alone will certainly grab attention in bookstores). The book, ostensibly about James, strays far from traditional sports journalism in explaining Raab's own personal demons: divorce, obesity, drug addiction, overbearing Jewish mother, and therapy.

I think this guy certainly has issues but he is a sports writer, so what else should he spend time on? It sounds interestingly funny.

Calling LeBron the "whore of Akron" is incredibly wrong (and hilarious).
