Rivera Notches 600th Save: Mariano Rivera saved his 600th game Tuesday night in a New York Yankees victory over the Seattle Mariners, putting him one short of Trevor Hoffman's career record. Another pitching milestone was hit when Boston Red Sox knuckleballer Tim Wakefield won his 200th game.

Too bad for Rivera that all that Maddux-esque off-field shit will keep him from the HoF.

One dead prostitute for every blown save; talk about pitching for your life!

Those baseball aficionados scoring at home might prefer to say that another pitching milestone was "reached", not "hit".

So, the TV weatherman who recently woke up in an empty hot tub next to a naked dead guy who had a dog collar on -- where does he fit into all this?

The weatherman's just a patsy.

Taking that "Enter Sandman" shit a little too far, isn't he?

I imagine in 50 years, there will be a book about his serial killer exploits with a title like "A Rivera Runs Through Them."

Also, congratulations. Rivera is a hell of an opponent, for batters and streetwalkers alike.

They said he had a mean cutter, and boy were they right!

Okay, that one made me laugh, loudly. :)

Rivera wouldn't be getting away with his reign of terror if Brian Wilson played for an east coast team. Wakefield, though, is not only more subtle with his obsessions, he has a special 'in case of Brian Wilson' trade clause. Not that I mind having a serial clown killer in town.
