The Worst At-Bat in MLB History?: Or just too much respect?
Heh...that was funny. The pitcher was so shocked at his distance from the plate that he walked him :-)

So many animated gifs...my kingdom for an embedded YouTube video! Is this hosted by GeoCities?
Loved the Pedroia reference. Gold, indeed!

Does a YouTube video of someone filming the at-bat on their TV do it you GIF haters?

I haven't seen an at-bat like that since little league. But if you're not going to swing, and can't hit, why not do something that throws the pitcher completely off (not that this was intentional).

I'm sorry fatty, but this is the single greatest at bat in the history of baseball. I just woke up my poor baby from laughing so hard. That's some great announcing too.

Thanks qbert72. I like the "I'm surprised he has a helmet and gloves" commentary.

As mentioned in the first link, how much does Ceda suck as a pitcher?
Alternatively, he was so amused by everything he felt compelled to walk a fellow pitcher.

I would've been tempted to hit him on the fourth pitch, if I were Ceda. Screw it, he's taking his base either way.

If he had done that, he might have accidentally thrown him a strike.
