Boise State Can't Go All-Blue at Home: When it moved to the Mountain West Conference, Boise State had to agree to stop wearing all-blue uniforms in home games on its infamous blue turf. Opposing coaches complain that it makes Broncos players blend in with the field, especially on tape. "I think they ought to get rid of that blue turf. I think it's unfair," San Diego State coach Rocky Long complained in a conference call with reporters. "It takes the visiting team a quarter or two to get used to that different field." Boise State has won 32 straight at home and hasn't lost a conference home game since 1998.
If they had a real mean streak, they'd paint it SDSU's road colors for that game.

"I think it's unfair."
WAAAH! Hey, coach, if someone hasn't told you life isn't fair by now, it isn't. People would know who Boise State is even if it didn't have a successful program. As for San Diego State ... when's basketball season?

While I have obviously never played on that field, I can easily see how the visiting team would have an adjustment period. Given that the other teams only play on that field every other year at the most, many starters might only play on that field once. I would thus agree that the blue turf might be an unfair advantage, certainly don't think they should be able to go to the all-blue uniforms as well.
