Deal Near to End NFL Lockout: Negotiators for the NFL and players are working on the final details of a multiyear labor agreement, Bloomberg reported Tuesday afternoon. The deal would give players 48 percent of the league’s projected $9.3 billion in revenue and cap payrolls at $120 million a team in 2011 -- down from $128 million in 2009. There's also a pay scale for rookies and free-agency for most veterans after four years. The Green Bay Packers have told players to be ready to show up Saturday, several team sources told the media.

I'm pleasantly surprised that they're reaching a deal without missed games. I thought they were going to be dumber about this.
