Women's World Cup Kicks Off in Germany: The Women's World Cup begins Sunday with France vs. Nigeria and host nation Germany vs. Canada. The U.S. enters the tournament ranked No. 1 in the world, but Germany is the favorite to hoist the hardware. The U.S. opens against North Korea Tuesday.
ESPN3 has every match again.

So they do indeed, as I was thrilled to discover and got to see the second half of Canada v. Germany.
The broadcast quality via computer screen has actually come up a notch since last summer. Better clarity and resolution now.
But it's a different sounding game this year. Nicht vuvuzelas.

As good as Germany looked, the fact they had to avoid a draw in the final minutes shows some reason for hope that the U.S. can take them. That one miss from point-blank range was amazing.

So glad this is getting underway. Any suggestions on the best places to watch the matches online?
Last year, without a dish or a decent cable package, etc., I lived off of ESPN 3 online for the men's WC matches.
