Miguel Olivo Lands Another Faceplant: A year after being injured by a faceplant sliding into second, Seattle Mariners catcher Miguel Olivo did the same thing at first base in extra innings Saturday night. "I'm fine," Olivo said after doctors checked him out. "I thought I broke my tooth, but this is a little thing. The game's on the line like that, you have to hustle."
Thanks for finding that. There are some basic laws of physics that Olivo doesn't seem to understand.

I don't get why players do that- everyone has to know by now that it actually slows you down to slide into first, and he's lucky he just hurt his face and not his hands/fingers...
