You Can't Spell Thunder Without N-E-R-D: Oklahoma City Thunder players Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook made some curious fashion choices at the press conference after their game 7 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Durant always wears a securely strapped backpack to the postgame media scrum. Westbrook joined him Sunday with Clark Kent glasses. Some of the NBA's biggest stars have gone nerd up in their fashion for a while.

I'm assuming that none of the players wearing glasses actually need glasses. I guess that's what makes it a fashion statement. The backpack thing is strange to say the least. Presumably Durant has somewhere to keep that oh-so-important stuff when he is playing in the game. It's pretty funny what he said about Barkley though. That TNT team is such a gift to the NBA. Last night, Barkley was telling Ernie that he won't apologize for coasting through life. Indeed.

Holy hell, Sherman and Peabody are in the house!
The guy I most want to be the biggest fashion nerd is already scoring highly in other portions of the pageant -- Spike Lee.
