Sabbatini, O'Hair Nearly Come to Blows on Course: Golfers Rory Sabbatini and Sean O'Hair got into such a heated argument on the 14th hole at the TPC Louisiana tournament last week that O'Hair's caddie had to separate them before it became physical, two players told USA Today. The paper claims Sabbatini is facing a possible suspension over this incident and an earlier one at the Northern Trust Open in which he berated a teen volunteer for how he marked Sabbatini's lost ball after a drive. Sabbatini recently apologized for some of his past actions. "I'm not proud of everything I've done out here, but I'm trying to learn," he said. "My son is old enough now that he understands everything that I do." Tom Edrington calls Sabbatini the PGA Tour's "genuine jerk". "I saw Sabbatini up close and personal at the Transitions over here at the Innisbrook Resort in March. At the 18th tee, he called out someone who was supposed to be talking in his backswing. I was standing right there and there was no such talking. One of the caddies in the group was standing by me while Master Rory was bitching, we looked at each other and simply gave it the 'you gotta be kidding' eyeball roll."
Mr. Biz: your momentary interest (and subsequent letdown) is entirely understandable.
I can appreciate how the post title got your attention.
But...nothing about the "Come to Blows" part, then?

I met Sabbatini once in Boston. I couldn't remember whether he was a golfer or a tennis player, and I guess it showed in my reaction to being introduced (my friend said "he's a golfer" and I said "ohhh right!".)
He acted incredibly pissy for the two minutes of conversation we had and I can only assume it's because I didn't immediately recognize and bow down to his celebrity. I asked him a question relating to golf and, without even finishing his answer, he simply walked away from our little group to strike up a conversation with a blonde that walked by. I didn't see him again.
Needless to say, hearing another story of how he's kind of a jackass isn't terribly surprising.

Hey, my Da' always told me to date a flautist, but to marry a cellist.

I've never heard a good word about Sabbatini. I mean, how can you fall out with Ben Crane? So what if he's slow? It's professional golf. Everyone's slow.

Those Ben Crane videos are absolutely hilarious. Thanks, JJ.

Sabbatini, O'Hair
For a moment I thought this was going to be a post about my teenage crush Gabriela Sabatini and her lustrous mane.
I am disappoint. Also, old.
