Steve Sabol Fighting Brain Tumor: NFL Films president Steve Sabol, 68, is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments after the discovery of a brain tumor. "This is one hell of a story," Sabol told Sports Illustrated's Peter King. "I mean, isn't it? Dad makes the Hall of Fame. Son's going to be his presenter. Son gets a brain tumor. Now the story is, Is the son going to be there? Will the son make it? What a great story this is going to be, however it turns out.'"

Sabol's glib attitude surprised me too. That guy is committed to narrative.

I'm old enough now I can't decide if there's a difference between denial vs. the right attitude to survive.

Committed is an understatement. Steve Sabol probably already taped his life & times to be played at his funeral just in case.

I do hope that he beats it.
