Judge Orders NFL, Players to Begin Mediation: A federal judge has ordered the National Football League and its players to begin mediation Thursday under the auspices of a Minnesota court -- though they can't be forced to reach an agreement. Sports business analyst Andrew Brandt compares this to "a set-up date for people with no interest in each other."
I see so many similarities between the NFL/NFLPA (or players since the NFLPA is no longer a union) negotiations and the recent Washington budget negotiations. Primary similarity: no matter who wins, the public gets screwed.
