IAAF finally decides when a woman is a woman - at least for sports purposes.

Rory McIlroy is handling his Normanesque collapse too well.

He's handling it better than some of the people at his old club. I was back home (in Holywood) over the weekend. The atmosphere was a little sombre on Monday morning.

Could someone from the Texas area shed some light on why Mike Napoli has been playing in only about every other game?

Since Yorvit Torrealba is their catcher, they got Napoli for backup duty and platooning against left handers at catcher, first base or DH.

Thanks. I have him on a fantasy team and he has been doing excellent...when he plays.

Another problem with Napoli playing is that Texas traded away its backup catcher (Matt Treanor) to Royals. This makes it difficult to DH Napoli because if Torrealba gets hurt or has to come out for some reason, then Texas would lose DH option for remainder of game. They can play Napoli and Torrealba together with Napoli at first, but they also have to figure in Michael Young some at first base as super utility. They need Treanor back, or if not another veteran catcher.

Ref disqualifies Russian boxer. Boxer meanders around ring innocently towards the ref and then ... sneak attack!

You think that's bad, re: Napoli? Mike Scosia was notorious among fantasy players for benching Napoli when he was on the Angels. I was all set to reach for him this year when he was with the Blue Jays.

Reports indicating that Josh Hamilton, Texas Rangers MVP, has broken his shoulder sliding into home during game today. Probably out six to eight weeks.

Good choice, dfleming. Rangers are also calling up Crush (Chris) Davis. He had a great Spring Training, but has yet perform much at the highest level. May be worth keeping an eye on, though, especially if you don't get penalized for batters striking out.
