Goalkeeper Scores on 83-Meter Kick: The goalkeeper for the second division Sport Colombia in Paraguay, Quinonez Wilson, recently scored on a free kick from a reported 83 meters over Club Cerro Porteno -- a feat being described as a new world record.
For pedantry's sake, that was a free kick (probably for offside, based on the position) and not a goal kick. Goalies have scored from drop kicks or running the ball out on a few occasions.
On first viewing, the opposing keeper just bottled it. Looking at the shadows, perhaps the height of that kick may have meant that the sun was in his eyes when it came down, but he still bottled it.

Fixed. Thought that had to be a goal kick.

Well, as enterprising photographers at the 2010 World Cup eagerly made clear, breaking world records while perfectly placing objects into tight quarters between outstretched arms is the Paraguayan way.

It couldn't have been a free kick for offside, because that would have been an indirect free kick.

Why did he get a yellow card?

Taking your shirt off is a yellow in many leagues.

in following the links on that story it appears that goalkeepers have done that before.
Or, does have to be from a dead ball kick?
