Drugs in the Premiership?: This report seems to indicate a growing undercurrent of performance enhancing drugs being used in the Prermiership. The current drug testing regime ensures few players are ever caught (clubs are warned in advance that the tests will take place). Additionally, many footballers use recreational drugs too? Does the premiership have a drug problem?

I'm just starting to wonder about Jaap Stam too - who left Man United to go to Italy and almost immediately tested positive for Nandrolone.

This was actually my favorite piece of the whole special. A nice summary of the effects of each substance on performance. Written by a physiologist, it had this dead-pan gem: "A footballer who takes alcohol will not be doing so for sporting reasons." Hahahahahahahaha.

Cannabinoids are hallucinogenic now? Please. I've been smoking since high school, and I've never experienced anything but relaxation from smoking. I like to smoke before I go to bed, and regardless of what that elf says, I go to bed when I want to. Or when that dragon-thing tells me to. Either way. Hey, did you guys just hear that?
