Nick Folk's Foot Helps Jets Defeat Colts: Last season's longest-playing teams were this season's first playoff exits. The Indianapolis Colts lost a defensive 17-16 battle to the New York Jets at home Saturday after Nick Folk kicked a game-winning 32-yard field goal as time expired. Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri had kicked a go-ahead 50-yarder just 53 seconds earlier.
Jim Caldwell deserves some credit too. If he doesn't call that last timeout, Sanchez has to hurriedly spike the ball and the Jets don't get time to bring him to the sideline and talk about that final pass play that turns a 50-yarder into a 32-yarder.
Folk isn't Vinatieri. I don't like his chances to make a kick that long in a do-or-die situation.
(Anyone else laugh when Collinsworth said that Sanchez "has been high all day"?)

I wondered if I heard him correctly.

Kudos to the Jets. Extremely surprised they were able to win a playoff game without the usual gimmick defence, they needed to play a solid disciplined game to win and they executed.
Indy's timeout on the last Jets drive is a head scratcher ... no way Sanchez executes the throw to Edwards in a normal hurry up scenario.
The kick off return was enormous.
Stars were aligned in the Jets favour.

I voted Cromartie as hero. Without him getting to midfield, the Jets likely don't pull another rabbit out of the hat.
