Ozzie Guillen's Son Rips Bobby Jenks: Oney Guillen, the son of Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, unloaded on reliever Bobby Jenks on Twitter over comments he made after signing a two-year, $12 million deal with the Boston Red Sox. Jenks: "I'm looking forward to playing for a manager who knows how to run a bullpen." Oney Guillen: "u say the manager didnt trust u? he kept putting ur fat ass there and u kept blowing it."

Yikes, seems like a fun kid. How have the White Sox not put the clamps down on him?

"hahah memo to bobby jenks get a clue u drink to much and u have had marital problems hugeee ones and the sox stood behind u"

Awesome. Also, I'm not sure what the author is getting at with his final line: why shouldn't the Red Sox have signed Jenks to be their secondary setup man? Maybe Jenks is cooked, but last year's numbers suggest he was the victim of a high BABIP, which is completely random.

Given Guillen's reaction, the full quotation from Jenks provides a little more context:

"I'll always respect [Guillen] as a person and give him credit that's due," Jenks said. "But I want to play for a manager who trusts his relievers, regardless of what's going on.

"With the way Ozzie was talking this winter and the way he treated me, I don't want to fight with the guy. How many times did he question my ability, and then saying how he would love to have me back, but I would have to come to Spring Training and fight for the closer's role like anyone else?

"Why would I come back to that negativity?" Jenks said. "I'm looking forward to playing for a manager who knows how to run a bullpen."

Hey Francona's just the guy to trust you, he'll leave you in there way beyond when he should.

Still remember Ozzie walking out to the mound to bring Jenks in and not tapping the right or left arm, but using both arms spread apart vertically and horizontally to signal: "the big fat guy".

Ozzie is a lot of things, some good, some not. But he's not a professional in the way he conducts himself and handles other people, so it's no surprise that junior has fallen off the low branch and is festering in the tall grass at the trunk of the tree.

I have no doubt that Jenks is a handful, but that quote rings true to me in regards to Ozzie. He seems like a fun manager when things are going well, but if things are going badly, not so much.

People posting to Twitter who write like this will always read to me like 13yo boys at the keyboard. How old is this kid anyway?

I think Oney Guillen's son just put the exclamation point on that remark.

Err, Oney Guillen, not Oney Guillen's son. Sorry.

The numbers don't seem to back that up, no matter how many people call 'EEI and talk about "Francoma".
