We get a terrible program here in Raleigh that originates out of Charlotte called Prime Time With the Pacman and all of the Bobcats fans that have called in are happy to see Brown go. They also want the team so completely revamped that a name change is in order. Apparently everything in Charlotte is cat themed including their bus system and their pro sports teams. They're over it. Up here in Raleigh, nobody really gives a shit about the Bobcats. They're pretty much non-existent around these parts.

Oh, and the Panthers fans are hoping for an all out tanking by the Panthers so they can draft Andrew Luck. Many of them are also wanting to hire Jim Harbaugh as the new coach.

All out tanking as opposed to the half-hearted tanking the Panthers have been doing all season long?

Hey, if you're going to do something, do it right. See: the Detroit Lions of this past decade. (my favorite teams, btw. ugh.)

The Panthers can draft a marquee QB if they want. But I think if they could find another Beuerlein, that would be just fine. He did a pretty darn good job for Carolina, then got dumped. Things went downhill pretty fast from there.

Larry Brown will not have to worry about another job somewhere in basketball. Charlotte was a disaster waiting to destroy a coach, and I truly wondered why Brown took the job in the first place. I guess he thought he could teach some basketball. He knows the game too well to stay unemployed too long.

nomich, what have you got against cats? My last surviving cat is up here helping me type this, and she did not like your anti-feline attitude. Her claws are out.

Oh, and his entire staff has apparently been sacked as well. And a successor is in line to take over by tomorrow? Strange, usually there are a few holdovers in situations like these. I'm not too thrown off by the "mutual parting of ways" the team seems pretty tepid at this point. But I don't see how a coaching change improves their standing this season. Or what hiring a new coach mid-season accomplishes for the following season.
