Maurice Clarett Back in Football: ESPN catches up with Maurice Clarett, who at 26 has completed his prison sentence, re-enrolled at Ohio State and is playing for the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. Clarett, who once signed autographs "The Greatest of All Time" while helping lead Ohio State to a national championship in his only college season, marvels at his past lack of humility. "I used to write that. I used to believe it, too."

Clarett, who once signed autographs "The Greatest of All Time"
Everybody celebrates Ted Williams declaring himself "The Greatest Hitter Who Ever Lived" when he was like 22. Only difference it he was (maybe) right.

Somebody gave Maurice Clarett a second chance on the football field. Good. Perhaps he has matured and got his act together. The Omaha Nighthawks cut him a break.
If he shows that he has talent, perhaps he can work his way back up to the NFL. It sounds like he is a different person than the Ohio State player that led to his Broncos failure.
Besides, it appears the NFL is giving second chances to convicted felons.

I wish him well and hope that he has learned from his mistakes. Truth be told, he is far from the first teenager to make monumental mistakes and get another shot at his dreams.

Get in shape and work your ass off. Then come try the CFL - strangely, one of the best ways to find your way back to Denver, or New York, or whathaveyou is via Regina.
Heh. Regina.

I have no idea why, but I'm really rooting for this guy to get back into the NFL. I guess you see stories like these where the guy buys all the hype, gets some money thrown at him and then loses his shit.
If I won the lottery, I might do the same thing, so I can't fault Clarett too much.
Good luck, Maurice.
