Sportstainment!

Does ESPN even have the slightest shred of being an impartial observer anymore?

Description of editorial contributor Windhorst: "one of the leading authorities on LeBron James"

Hang your head in shame!

Windhorst has written two books about James and has covered him since middle school.

Sure, but when I follow 12 year olds, I have to register as a sex offender...

This almost seems like something the Onion would come up with.

Why would ESPN have a section that truly belongs on the Heat's own web site?

While I wasn't planning on spending any time following the Heat, I will now make it a point to change the channel if ESPN so much as hints at an upcoming segment on the Heat. (yes, I know that means I'll only be able to watch ESPN for a minute at a time due to their non-stop coverage of all things Heat related)

All we can do is hope the Heat go down in flames as their team logo suggests. That is the only thing that would make this all tolerable.

Yet another reason not to watch ESPN and root against the Heat.

Based on the critical success of "The Decision", ESPN has also started preparation on a 3 part mini-series "The Retirement" following Brett Favre.

The first episode is scheduled to air immediately after Brett throws 3 picks and prematurely ends the Vikings 2010 season, titled "The Legend". This will be followed by episode 2 when Brett doesn't show at Vikes training camp in 2011 ("The Uncertainty"), followed bye episode 3 immediately before Minnesota's first regular season game/loss of 2011 ("The Return of the Legend, Part III)".
