Amazing last lap by Nicky Hayden at the Aragon GP today. He couldn't have pushed it any harder.

The Blues scoff at your free preseason game

Didn't the Predators have a playoff guarantee similar to that a few years ago?

posted by NoMich at 03:49 PM on September 19, 2010

The Preds raised ticket prices in 2002 with the promise that they would make the playoffs. When they didn't make the playoffs the price difference was refunded to season ticket holders.

Thanks Fritsy.

Is it just me, or was Houston playing out the 4th quarter just to get to OT?

I hate football.

As a fan of North Texas, the Cowboys and the Jaguars, I couldn't agree more.

As a Minnesota Gopher alum, a Viking fan, and as a parent that is currently paying tuition for his daughter to attend North Texas, I absolutely couldn't agree more.

How did your daughter and your money end up at North Texas?

I love football! Fantasy football, not so much.

DVike will have to tell the actual tale, but I know many a person who has made the educational pilgrimage to Denton because of the world renowned excellence of the music department.

That's all I know about the school, but it's one good reason why someone would "end up" there.

I have a good friend here in Raleigh, who grew up in Kentucky, that went to school in Denton because of its music department. He was in a band with some guys that went on to Edie Brickell's band.

The College of Music churns out world-class jazz musicians. The campus radio station, KNTU, is a jazz station. Because I am an idiot, I hated jazz when I went there.

UNT is getting a new football stadium next year right where I-35 splits into I-35E and I-35W. I'm hoping it will help end our current run of Bottom 10 mediocrity in football.
