NFL Official Moves to Broadcast Booth: Mike Pereira, the former NFL chief of officiating, will be a network analyst on Fox games this season. "I'm going to cite the rules and give my opinions," said Pereira, who may be the first zebra to work games as an announcer.

This should be an interesting addition to the play-by-play analysis if he doesn't toe the company line and calls them like he sees them.

I really like his postmortems on the NFL network. I think this is a great idea. We need some color commentary that actually adds something to the game.

I like this. Officials do have a very unique perspective on the game. They don't care who wins. I've seen some of his breakdowns in the past too ... I think he'll do a good job.
