Feller in Treatment for Leukemia: Bob Feller, the third-oldest living member of the Baseball Hall of Fame at age 91, is being treated for leukemia and says he's "feeling better than I have in weeks." Signed for $1 and an autographed baseball as a 17-year-old in 1936, Feller's younger than 92-year-olds Lee McPhail and Bobby Doerr.
That's a damn long life, and sportswriters will have to find someone else (other than crazy Jim Bunning, hopefully) to give the usual "Back in my days, players used to blah blah blah" quotes.
