Mets Closer Punches Fiancee's Father: New York Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez punched his fiancee's father outside the team's Citi Field clubhouse Wednesday night, following a loss to the Colorado Rockies. He's been suspended by the team and faces assault charges. "Rodriguez is known for his emotions on and off the mound," reports the New York Daily News.
Wow, he seems pretty volatile. He was mad about the game before he even ran into his fiancee's father.

Off topic comment re journalism: So, is it his fiance's father, his girlfriend's father, or his wife's father? Because from the story and opening, I am trying to figure out if he got into a fight with three different people.

It's his common law wife's father. Or you could just use F-Rod's term: "F'ing freeloader."

Yeah, so, that should make some interesting family Christmas dinner conversations for him.

New York doesn't recognize common law spouses, so I think the proper legal term is baby's momma.

Apparently, he doesn't know how to properly throw a punch, either. Torn thumb ligaments? I don't think you're supposed to put your thumb on the inside of the fist.

Year in, year out you can count on the Mets to be a joke by the end of the year.
