TV Show Unites NHL Brawlers Lemieux, McCarty: Claude Lemieux and Darren McCarty had two of the most memorable fights in hockey history when playing for the Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings in the '90s -- bad blood that began with Lemieux's brutal face-shattering hit on McCarty's teammate and best friend Kris Draper during the 1996 NHL playoffs. Earlier this year, Lemieux and McCarty sat down for a joint interview on the TV show Off the Record, the first time they'd ever met.
Sorry I missed that, MeatSaber. Great interview.

It's cool, the more exposure, the better. Like I said then, I gained an eensy bit of respect for Lemieux after watching this...

A friend of mine is bringing Lemieux in for an autograph session in a month or so. Unfortunately, I've been told he won't sign a photo of himself turtling as McCarty beats his ass into the ice.

Did you watch the interview? He addresses the "turtle" claim and McCarty backs him up.

Good interview, except the interviewer (a class A dick) keeps interrupting and trying to stage manage it - I wish he had just let them tell their story in their own way at their own pace.

Watched the whole interview, was waiting for the part when at least one of them would drop that arrogant lipstick wearing puke from TSN.
For all the folks bashing ESPN over the past few months - be thankful for what you have (and have not).

I met Landsberg at a Raptors game once. He's tiny. But was a very normal guy and wasn't at all a dick, at least while in line waiting for roast beef sandwiches.
