NFL Referee: I Blew 2 Calls in 2006 Super Bowl: NFL referee Bill Leavy told the Seattle media that he "kicked two calls" in the the Seahawks' Super Bowl 0x28 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Leavy didn't identify the blown calls, but two questionable ones are cited in the article: A fourth quarter holding call against tackle Sean Locklear that kept Seattle from advancing to Pittsburgh's 1 yard line for a potential tying touchdown and a low block call on Matt Hasselbeck on a play where he threw an interception to Ike Taylor. "It left me with a lot of sleepless nights, and I think about it constantly," Leavy said of the game. "I'll go to my grave wishing that I'd been better."
I don't know if I was clear in my first post.
I'm willing to believe Leavy when he says that he "kicked two calls'', but, as a fan watching the game, it sure looked like the fix was in.

This reminds me of when Troy Polamalu's interception in the AFC Championship game of the same year was called back. To this day I cannot figure out the rationale behind that call.

I had no real rooting interest in that game, but I'm a big NFL fan, and of course watched.
It's the only NFL game I've ever seen that I thought was fixed.
I'm not saying it was fixed, but it looked that way.
Every close call in the game went the Steelers' way.
(By the officials that is. Upon further review, and after examining the video, I'm sure at least one team has cheated to win games.)
