Heat Fire Entire Season Ticket Sales Staff: The Miami Heat, who rapidly sold out all their season tickets after attracting superfriends LeBron James and Chris Bosh to join Dwyane Wade, have fired all 30 people on their season ticket sales staff. "We greatly appreciate their contributions to the company," the team said in a statement.

I guess this is what happens when season tickets sell for themselves.

Wait until the team implodes then hire them all back to answer phone calls from angry season-ticket holders.
Problem solved!

Classy move.
(well, at least it sounds like they tried to place them elsewhere and help them out.)

There were some stories a while back claiming that the Heat signings were going to provide a great boost to the ailing south Florida economy.
30 job losses is what I call getting off to a good start.
Does this mean that if a team signs a player like Scalabrine, it will have to increase it's ticket sales staff?
