CFL Pick 'Em, Week 5: Another week of upsets make points tough to come by. But Byron Parker did a couple of you a favour with his game-winning interception. Catch your own luck and make your picks inside.

Over at TSN, Schultzie seems to think this is how it'll play out this week:
Montreal by 8 on Thursday.
Friday, the visiting Lions by 2.
And in the Saturday double-header: Riders by 6 and the Stamps by 10.

My brother has an interesting take on life. Montreal by 15. He once tried an experiment with his wife and dog. Edmonton by 9. He locked both of them in the trunk of the car. Saskatchewan by 21. After 2 hours, guess which one of them was happiest to see him? Calgary by 11.

Monts O is proven they can put big #'s up [& hami imploded last week], but I'm counting [hoping] a good Argo D to limit them. Mont by 5... no by 8
Eddy has shown very little in heart, focus & commitment, bc are trying... so BC by 3.
Sask got a kick in the teeth last week & should be pissed, hami kicked themselves in the teeth last week & might be a little sore. Sask by 9.
Cal shook themselves after the TO defeat & clicked on all/most cylinders against sask, winni played great against an uninspired ee team. Cal by 8.
GO ARGOS GO!!!

One stinking point last week. One? And this week is another crap shoot in my books. Oh well ... c'est la vie in CFL Pick 'Em.
Part of me really wants the Argos to win. That same part of me also thinks that they just might be able to. But the difference between "just might" and "will" is a whole different ball of wax. Montreal to win but not cover by 10.
And now, for the really tough one. The part of me that always wants the EE to win actually wants them to lose this one. A win doesn't force the issue of shuffling the deck. Maciocia's head on a platter please. Get rid of the disease that has wrought havoc on former glory. All that said, however, they really should win this one. The Lions are not good. I'm hoping that this is the only time I'll ever have to say this, but against my wishes I think EE win this by 21. Of course, I will still hope that Maciocia's head rolls.
Gotta think that both teams are gonna be hungry in this one. Can't see the Riders going on a two-game skid though. Fingers crossed for another good old-fashioned gun fight and both teams are blazin'. In the end, the Green Guys will be left standing. Riders by 8.
The only thing that hurts me worse than what's happening in the EE camp right now is the fact that those goddamned Stamps might have found their legs. That scares me. The Grey Cup is in Edmonton this year after all. I'm just hoping that the Bombers can make them earn it. Goddamned Stamps by 12 goddamned points, goddammit.

I think bonus points for picking Winnipeg last week should be awarded.

If my math is correct, it was the Larks by 31 freakin' points!!! I mean I can see, quickly, I pick this week of 20 points or more (rahilsuleman picks SK by 20) ... but has there ever been a pick 'em selection exceeding 20 points? Has anyone ever picked a win by four touchdowns or more to catch a spread of 31 points? Incredible.
And did anyone watch this game? Has anyone ever seen MORE dropped passes? Christ, this is going to be the year of the dropped pass ... and we're only on Week 5!?!?

OUCH!! That game hurt. My poor, poor Argos.
Does anyone else question HOW mont can afford sooo many quality offensive players & stay within the salary cap?? TOO MANY WEAPONS.
Argos did shoot themselves in the foot several times with dropped passes, penalties, bad throws, poor tackling & miss reads.
Well, lets regroup & move on.

EE win and my other wish comes true!!! Are there bonus points for that?

Looks like YYM nails the spread in the Calgary win thanks to their last play surrender of a safety touch to kill the clock. Can see 'em running it out, but giving up a deuce?

Montreal takes care of business at home, while Toronto pulls off another last-minute comeback. Out west, Winnipeg prolongs Edmonton's misery, sending them to 0-4, but Calgary hands the 'Riders their first loss.
Another tough week as underdogs win big, but argoal and tommytrump nail the Toronto spread to take a big jump in the standings.
Some very intriguing matchups this week as the storylines begin to take shape. Also, Hamilton plays too.
WEEK 5
Toronto @ Montreal (Thursday, July 29) Toronto's built a nice little 3-1 record with some impressive comebacks. But if they're looking for another late comeback win, they're in the toughest place to find one.
B.C. @ Edmonton (Friday, July 30) There may be no better chance for Edmonton to snap their 0-4 streak as they host a struggling and hurt B.C. team. But keep an eye on Casey Printers' whereabouts.
Hamilton @ Saskatchewan (Saturday, July 31) Saskatchewan looks to rebound at home and take hold of first place in the West. For Hamilton-- yet another tough road test.
Winnipeg @ Calgary (Saturday, July 31) But Calgary's not going to hand over first place that easily. Winnipeg put on a good show last week, but the Stamps' was definitely more impressive.
Good luck!
