Wizards Win No. 1 Draft Pick in Lottery: The Washington Wizards won the draft lottery earlier this week, moving up from the No. 5 spot to earn the top pick in next month's draft. The Philadelphia 76ers moved up from the sixth spot to grab the second pick. New New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov was on hand to see the team with the most chances fall to third.

The Nets are just having "buzzard luck".

Mikhail is asking for name change suggestions for the Nets. This is clearly a intriguing plaything for him. He's serious about winning but wants to have fun with it.

He and Cuban ought to get along great. Can't wait to see how that plays out.

Maybe they'll cook up a new reality show: Guard Swap.

Wolves get jobbed in the lottery again. In other news, sun comes up in the morning. I guess the NBA figured they can rig it against the Wolves every year because no one here cares about the team anyway.

(BTW, for the humor-impaired, I'm kidding about the NBA rigging the lottery. But the fact that I feel the need to clarify that says a lot about the NBA.)

I feel sorry for the top draft pick -- from amateur success to the crypt of doom -- anyone but the Wizards! Ha ha, hope they get a good one.
