Maybe the best player in this franchise's history.
I'm thinking a certain ex-Congressman from Oklahoma might be surprised to hear that.

Seattle Seahawks' Walter Jones retires
From the article: Seattle attempted more than 5,500 passes with Jones on the field, and according to the records of Seahawks coaches, Jones gave up 23 sacks. In 180 career starts, he was penalized for holding nine times.
He is just a phenomenal player. They should rename the franchise tag after him because Seattle put the tag on him so many times.

That ex-congressman is the only reason there is any doubt about who is the best player in franchise history. Not a Seahawks fan at all but he's the best offensive lineman in the last 20 years, maybe longer if you're not a Munoz fan. HOF.

Mike Holmgren has stated that Walter Jones was the best offensive player he ever coached. Jones the best (Paragraph 5) I realize Holmgren did not coach the ex-congressman, but he did coach some great players. Among them, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Joe Montana & Brett Favre.

I like how the ex-Congressman's name has become "He whose name shall not be spoken". Add that to the list of SpoFi quirks.

For those of you that picked the penguins to win in 6, myslef included, here is a little fact for you. The Pens Have NEVER closed out a series at home in a cup year. The last series they closed out at home, was during the 70's I believe.

Ending the sound of Silence An article about the culture change around the Chicago Blackhawks over the past few years, and a funny story about Gordie Howe & Stan Mikita.

Not that it really matters at this point, but Tiger is now up to 120....no, not his golf score from today, though it's pretty close

Seattle Seahawks' Walter Jones retires "A great teammate," quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said. "A pro. A guy you can count on. That's what Walt was. A great teammate, it just happened to be that he was also the best player on the team." Maybe the best player in this franchise's history.
