American billionaire Stan Kroenke could launch a bid to take full control of Arsenal if he decides to sell his shareholding in American football franchise the St Louis Rams. Deadline for a decision is this coming Monday.
Just an FYI re another American owner in the EPL: "[T]he Arsenal Supporters Trust are also relaxed about the American upping his stake to the 50 per cent mark but maintain that a "plurality of ownership" remains the best option."

3 yrs, 39 million. I'm guessing they'll regret the last year of that deal but, hey, why not take a shot as long as you have Timmy around.

Whoa, I get why they are going to jail, but I'm not sure I agree with it. However they marketed the thing, they didn't commit the acts.

So, if they are marketed their product just to beat your random drug test and not a federal drug test, would they have been a-okay?

They are specifically convicted of conspiring to defraud the US Government and the sale of drug paraphernalia. Neither charge requires that the defendant actually use drugs. My personal opinion is that if it keeps one idiot from getting high and driving an 18-wheeler, flying an aircraft, or running a train when he or she is not in full possession of his physical or mental faculties, then it is a good thing.

Read up on the federal prosecutors involved in the Whizzinator case in your free time. It is the same office that prosecuted Tommy Chong for selling pipes and that was involved in prosecuting (using somewhat shady tactics) a Pittsburgh doctor for prescribing pain medication. Real drug warriors with a penchant for headline-grabbing stuff.

Are you asking me or is that a rhetorical question? I'm not well-versed on law or anything, it just seems to me any number of products are advertised for their ability to do things that can be illegal. If a gun company advertises its product's stopping power and I use the gun to kill someone, are they liable? I know that's not exactly the same and I realize most bong manufacturers make a big deal out of "Tobacco use only", but no one's falling for that. If this product didn't exist, would their customers have not tried to cheat on a drug test?
In the abstract, I'm all for Howard's sentiment. In practice it feels like a scary slope.
