Florida Coach Urban Meyer Already Back to Work: After retiring for his family and health concerns, then unretiring a day later to take a "leave of absence," Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer returned to work at the first day of the team's spring practice Wednesday. Acting head coach Steve Addazio returns to his assistant duties after 75 days at the helm, amassing a record of 0 wins, 0 losses and 0 practices. Asks the Orlando Sentinel, "Did [Meyer] ever really leave at all?"
Meyer was working himself into the ground as Gators' coach. He suffers from a heart muscle defect and an arachnoid cyst on his brain that causes stress-induced headaches. He had chest pains and lost consciousness after the SEC championship game. When he originally quit, he said that "I have ignored my health for years, but recent developments have forced me to re-evaluate my priorities of faith and family."
Instead of quitting, he didn't take a break at all and is acting like he never told the world he was on the verge of a serious health problems. I agree with Andrea Adelson's take in today's Orlando Sentinel.
It seems to me that Meyer wants a do-over where he can pretend he never quit and never had health issues. I hope that works out for him, but problems you don't deal with tend to deal with you.

I'm sure the last thing anyone wants to see is Urban Meyer having a heart attack on the sidelines trying to win a game.
His health and his family should always come first.

I really don't know what to think of Urban Meyer unretiring. The man obviously has some health issues that required him to think about retiring in the first place for the sake of his family but to basically return back to his duties not even 48 hours later is ridiculous.
I do hope that Urban Meyer is healthy enough to return back to coaching but if it's going to take years off his life or even life itself, I would suggest that he sticks with his origianl plan and stayed retired.
