Sisu!: After a devastating 6-0 loss to the US on Friday and a poor second period against Slovakia last night, the Finns find their sisu and rally in the third with four unanswered goals to capture the bronze medal in hockey. This follows Friday's bronze medal win by the Finnish womens' team over their main rivals, Sweden.
Technically it was 6-1 vs USA.
I just picked up Demitra as a free agent in the apparently very sleeepy spofi puckathon-hopefully he keeps it up when the NHL resumes....

Sleepy, what? How dare you! I demand satisfaction.
Also, glad to see the Finns bounce back. Watching the US wreck them left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

I hope the medals in hockey are the same for both genders. That would make for some nice symmetry.
I was pulling for the Slovaks (because they've never won a medal), but I was still happy with the Finns winning. Teemu Selanne is a nice guy, and his explanation ("You win the bronze, you lose the silver.") is pretty honest.
The celebration by the Finns after the game (they kept skating around, bowing, waving and having a good time) seemed to indicate they didn't want to leave the ice one last time.
I kind of wish someone had rushed out with a few magnums of beer and couple cigars for them to celebrate with...
