The gifted and enigmatic Elena Delle Donne, who walked away from a UConn hoops scholarship, then joined and left the U. of Delaware volleyball program, has joined the Delaware hoops team this year as a redshirt freshman.

She is now apparently unstoppable. (Although her going for 50+ points in a recent loss doesn't speak well for the overall state of her team.)

It will be interesting to see if she has a full four year collegiate career. And to see if the coaches can make the entire team better around her.

Landon Donovan looks great for Everton. I think he's answered the "can he play in Europe?" question.

I agree. He's looked good playing on both left and right for the Toffees and looks a different player to the one who limped home from Germany. He's not phased by the physical stuff, has a good eye for a pass and likes to run at defenders.

We need to employ someone to kick him up in the air before June 12.

I'll cop to being an anti-Donovanite right up until he had a change of heart as he put the blue jersey upon his body, but he has been awesome since joining. If he weren't worried about being a good teammate and started taking more shots he'd have 3 or 4 goals.
