Prank Goes Awry: The girls' basketball coach at NorthWest High School in Olathe, Kansas was told that if he hit a half court, blindfolded shot he would earn tickets to this year's Final Four. The student body however, had plans of their own. They were instructed to cheer wildly after the coach inevitably missed the near impossible shot, giving the coach false hopes of March Madness. There was one problem though, he made it. Oh, and the students never actually had the tickets, so instead he was given a gift card to a Mexican restaurant.

When he's being spun the shooter pauses each time he passes zero, squared up to the basket. That's presence of mind.

Yeah, but which Mexican restaurant?
Because there is a case to be made for some serious enchiladas.

Do you have anything else besides Mexican food?

I'm not positive he couldn't see through that blind fold. I think that's why they tried to put a second one on him.
Nevertheless, nice shot.
The looks on the prankster's faces and their body language was perfect.
"Oh. F*ck. He hit it. Now what do we do?!"

The buzzfeed version of this story included another link that's just as amazing: the Fox affiliate reporter covering the story takes a shot of his own...

My pals told me that if I could get through a day at work without murdering anyone that they'd give me tickets to the Superbowl. I did it, but it turned out they didn't have the tickets, so now I don't have any tickets to the Superbowl.
*waits for media to get hold of story and inevitable subsequent offers of free tickets from organisers of Superbowl*

jj...Sorry about the tickets. But perhaps now you have a legimate reason to murder them all. And be aquitted by reason of insanity!!

I like how the coach knew this was a prank and that the punch line was that he was going to get hit in the face with something. He must be a SpoFite to worry about such a thing.

Wait, I've seen this prank before. Although that time, it worked as planned.

But the steaks in Kansas are off the hook.

Note to self: Don't play a trick-shot prank on somebody who walked on to the Kansas basketball team.
