So is Cutler the answer to all the Bears' problems or what?

Jay Cutler is looking into a trade to the Panthers.

In Carolina, no matter how many picks you throw, you'll still be their guy.

It goes to show how important an offensive line is. The difference between last year's Cutler and this year's Cutler is immense.

This shows up in the Bears' running game as well, overall production per/game is way down from last year. If you can't establish the running game, the QB is going to have a hard time passing.

That being said, Culter looked like a scared Bear cub last night, even when he was throwing the ball away he looked like he had no idea how to do it.

Of course, being a Viking's fan I took this very hard.

Overheard in a Packers country workplace this week: "But they had such a strong pre-season!"

Note to Stafford: The bad guys are wearing purple this week. Try not to throw at or near the color purple on Sunday, and just maybe the Lions will cover the spread. Not win, just not lose so badly I can't make money off you.

You could light the pilot in your furnace with a $100 bill. At least you'd have a warm feeling afterward...

His performance really isn't all that different from last year to this year.

- leads the league in attempts, was 2nd last year
- 4200 yards projected this year vs. 4500 last year
- QB rating is 76 now vs. 86 last year (both mediocre nowadays)
- leading the league in INTs, was 2nd last year
- 4-5 this year, 8-8 last year
- 62% completion perc. this year and last

Yea, it's down a bit, but he no longer has Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal to throw to or Shanahan calling the plays, so you should expect a drop.

So he's still basically a guy who can throw for a ton of yards if you give him an ungodly amount of attempts, but as far as accuracy, TD/INT ratio, etc...he's always been a mediocre QB. Throw in WINS, even back to college, and he's FAR WORSE than mediocre.

Cutler made an ass of himself all throughout the offseason, acting like a spoiled little bitch, and now karma is biting him in the ass. The guy couldn't wait to get out of Denver, and like the old saying goes, Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.

Denver's probably wondering why they ever wanted to keep him, and pinching themselves and being giddy that they couldn't.

It's obviously the exact reason they were looking to pick up Matt Cassel during the offseason and dump Cutler. Between his shitty attitude, overinflated opinion of himself and his talent, and poor performance, Cassel probably would have been a huge improvement.
