F-bomb gets dropped at end of Richmond vs. Villanova telecast: Funny video clip of the ending of the Villanova/Richmond game (Villanova won 21-20), where someone (not sure who) calls the Richmond kicker a "bum" then says "just end the effing game." The game was carried by Comcast, and seems to be legit. Video is NSFW for the f-bomb.

I thought the same thing.
Having done play-by-play and colour commentary on hundreds of game myself, it sounded to me like it came from the truck. The clarity and differential in audio quality was very much like what comes through your headphones.
That said, if this is the feed that went out over the air, I'm guessing someone might be in the bread line this morning.

sadly the link in the article to the video is dead. Comcast pulled it

or a mic button got stuck in the hold position at the wrong moment.

Sounds good to me.
But because I am curious, why would there need to be a button that allows some guy 'in the truck' to broadcast anything? That just seems to be an unnecessary button. I understand the truck-to-announcer's headphone idea, just not the truck-to-live audience possibility.

Having worked games with the crews that work the FCS games for Comcast, I wouldn't think that this was real. For the most part the stat guys don't talk that much, only when needed. However the clarity of the voice makes me believe that it did have to be a guy in the truck, so either a feed was crossed, but then you would have heard it through out the game, or a mic button got stuck in the hold position at the wrong moment.
