Just the title alone made me laugh until it hurt.

Jordan's son refuses to wear adidas at UCF.

Is Marcus Jordan good enough of a basketball player to even demand to wear his fathers brand of sneakers?

Is there another team called the Raiders? Baseball? Basketball? Hockey? Anything? 'Cause surely he can't have been talking about Oakland.

Marcus has his own wiki page.

Says he was rated 100th best shooting guard in country while in high school. Doesn't sound to me like he is worth the $3 million the school could lose. Maybe MJ needs to buy out the Adidas contract.

An aspiring Chinese place kicker is still a work in progress, but if there were ever a perfect name for the position, it is his.

I think the issue isn't just the $3 million that the school will get in cash, it is also the free product that they would be getting. The school's current contract only gets them the uniforms at cost, the new deal that they are supposed to be getting would supply the uniforms and clothing for all of the teams, so there is a bigger cost than just the $3 million.

What I have found to be a bit of a turn off about it is that little Jordan has taken on a bit of an air about him (pun not intended) when he says his gear will be Adidas, but his shoes are going to be Jordan brand in the article about this from the Orlando Sentinel. If the school promised Marcus he could wear Jordan's shame on them, if Marcus or Michael's people failed to follow up and verify this with Adidas, shame on them. There is plenty of shame to be spread around here but it would be a shame to see the UCF student body have to pick up a $3 million tab because one student is being selfish.

A random collegiate apparel note. I noticed during basketball games last year against UMass, that the URI mens and womens basketball teams wore gear from different companies. The men wore Nike while the women wore Adidas.

Looks like the WTA is becoming more and more like the WWE every day

In the last few months the WTA has seen a controversy about the size of a players chest, then we had Serena Williams threatening an official, and now we hear that a match may not have been on the up and up?!?! Somewhere Vince McMahon is beginning to feel threatened.

Using veteran umps in the playoffs -- what crazy new innovation will Bud Selig think of next?
