I heard about this a few days ago, but I hadn't seen the terms of the deal 'til now. I can't believe that Iverson is willing to come off the bench for $3.5 MM and the best opportunity was a team that will almost certainly finish under .500.
Makes no damn sense to me.

I'm with you, Ufez. Has his stock collapsed so bad that this is all that's available?

I don't see how his stock coulds have fallen this low unless it's his age. AI can still be a valuable commodity, even if it is coming off the bench and lighting it up, but I just don't see why he would sign with Memphis.

I been a huge Iverson fan from Day 1. He's the only reason that I actually watched the Sixers all those years, the man was simply amazing.
Saying that, Iverson is not the same player that he was in Philly because the teams that he signs with aren't going to provide him with the same type of run & gun offense that made him great in Philly. I don't believe that he's going to make the Grizzlies any better as a team since his style of play is one where he handles the ball and also scores. He is still a great player IMO, he's just not going to a great team.
