Tevez admits he is likely to leave Manchester United for a Spanish club: 'I don't see why I should lie because the fans support me'

I root against Man U, but Tevez is a joy to watch. He is never waiting for somebody else to make something happen. His energy reminds me of the player who made me into a Tottenham supporter -- Edgar Davids.

Tevez runs all day and works hard but lacks the subtle touches of a Ronaldo or Messi, the upper body strength of Rooney and Drogba and the ability to control his emotions for 90 minutes in tough games. Not worth a GBP32M transfer fee to me--18 or 20M maybe. Real or Atletico in Madrid seem like good fits for him.

He may not be any of those players, but he was arguably the best player in the league last year and the main reason West Ham "survived".

A few key scores late in the year don't make him the best player in my book. A very good player, worth a GBP18M or so transfer fee, but not the best then or worth GBP32M now. If the rumors about Ribery and Ronaldo come true I think Sir Alex is far more likely to spend (less) money on a striker who pairs better with Rooney than Tevez, unless Carlos' price tag comes down a lot.

Well, that's no fair, I'd definitely take Ribery over Tevez.

Hopefully we can encourage Ferguson to follow the fat kid in the Adidas commercial from the last world cup and choose Djibril Cisse. For all of his money.

@MrB: OMGLOL if only.
@Yerfatma: That's the latest rumor I've read. CR7 -> Real, Ribery -> ManU, Diego -> BayernM. If it happens I don't see Tevez staying put, not at 32M and not with the performances Macheda, Park, Anderson and Giggs have put in recently.

"While I wear the United shirt I will leave my life on the pitch."
'Tis true, but when you have a roster which, from top to bottom, is full of quality, some quality players get left out in the cold. Good luck in Spain!
