Shooting Leaves Jaguars' Lineman Paralyzed, Leg Amputated: A month after he was shot 14 times outside an apartment complex in Jacksonville, Jaguars offensive lineman Richard Collier, 26, is paralyzed at the waist and his left leg has been amputated, a local surgeon said. "This is a smart kid and he's got a degree. He's got some goals and some things he wants to accomplish. He'll move on," said his agent Jeff Jankovich.
Very sad, but he is lucky to have survived.

Yup. We have a really bad violence problem here in Jacksonville lately. People are getting shot and killed several times a week and the papers are calling the city the "Murder Capital of Florida."

Just like Miami was back in the 80's with the whole "Cocaine Cowboys" situtation.

Whether Collier moves on or not I'm sure his agent will.

What does that have to do with anything? I mean, I'm also quite sure that his agent will move on from this because that's what his job consists of is dealing with pro athletes, but who knows if they're actually friends outside of the business.
Ever see Jerry Maguire?

No I haven't seen Jerry Maguire. Collier may have other goals, but I expect playing football on a championship team was the first one. Now that's taken from him and I read his agent spouting some Oprah-esque cliches. Sounds more like Agent Jankovich is kissing off his former moneymaker.

Now this is a damn shame. Total nonsense for this to have happened in the first place and now for Collier to not only lose his leg but to also be paralyzed.
I hope to God that the people that caused this are found and something God-awful happens to them. No one should have to go thru something heart-breaking and to have his livelihood robbed from him is something that the shooters will have to deal with when/if they're found.
Stay strong Richard
