New York Giants' Osi Umenyiora out for season; Will Strahan return?: On Saturday, while almost everyone in Giants blue was spewing optimism about Osi Umenyiora's left knee injury, Justin Tuck did everything short of sticking his fingers in his ears and screaming.

Tough loss for the Giants, but Strahan seems too happy with his retirement.I don't think he will pull a Favre and change his mind.

I second that. I believe that FOX Sports is paying Strahan a little over a million to be on their football program and from what's being said, he is totally enjoying being retired.

There really is no reason for him to come back for 1 more season since he went out with a Super Bowl win to put that proverbial exclamation point to his illustrious career.

Strahan will demand a ridiculous amount of money to return, so the Giants will probably look elsewhere. Losing both these guys following last season's success seems to point towards a disappointing follow-up to their Super Bowl win.

Strahan's apparently asking for Eight Large to come back this season.

Read it here, since I'm too lazy to link without pretty little buttons to do all the work for me:

Strahan isn't coming back even for $8 million. He knows he has a bright future and he is getting $2 million a year from FOX Sports. He is also smart enough to know that you cannot step into this league at the last minute and play defensive end without good off season preperation. The position is too hard on the body and he was planning on taking it easy. Smart move.
