"Things will be much better for me once I move to Vancouver." Everyone born here in Winnipeg is born with these words ready to launch out off their tongues from the first school recess they get that very tongue stuck to the zipper of their parka. Toronto by 7. This is my tribute to those people! My love for their hate, this is Winnipeg science gabber! Is Winnipeg really that shitty a place to live? Yes, it likely is. It's really fucking cold and people still seem upset about Eric's Trip breaking up. BC by 12. Sometimes I like to go out and listen to the Sisters of Mercy with like 5 other people that are scared to talk to each other. Mostly we stay inside, sometimes go to Safeway and get some stuff. Saskatchewan by 15. I like fruit salad and cigarettes, but I can't smoke here anymore anywhere and not much fruit grows here in the warm season, maybe crab apples or something. Never really liked those and Al hates rhubarb with a passion. Frozen Shithole by 6. I hope to die here under the wheels of a transit bus with a picture of Randy Bachman on the side.

Argos by a dozen. They just seem to be on a good roll right now. I think it's gonna still be a few weeks before the playoff picture is in focus ... so to keep it interesting, I'm gonna take the EE in a surprise upset over the Leos. Edmonton by 8. Rider Nation is looking to host a playoff game for the first time in 20 years. Think they'd put that in jeopardy by droppin' one to the lowly Tabbies? I don't. Saskatchewan by 20. The Bombers are the best team in the east. The Stamps, even with Burris supposedly dressing this week, suck slough water. Bombers by a converted TD.

Hey, the devil just called and he wants to know why it's so chilly. I got the first pick of the week right. That makes for the first time in the last ten weeks.

10 minutes. 10 minutes? A football game is 60 minutes and we're talkin' about 10 minutes? 10 minutes, man. It's ten minutes. Defense plays a whole game and you wanna talk about ten minutes. We're talkin' 'bout ten minutes, man. Ten minutes. Guys play their hearts out night after night, week after week, and you wanna talk about ten minutes? It's ten minutes, man. We're talkin' 'bout ten minutes. ;)

Toronto seems to be back to form, with big plays on special teams (three weeks in a row for Dorsey) and just enough Michael Bishop to jump back into playoff contention. B.C. maintains its pedigree with a tight win over Winnipeg, despite still starting a WR's twin brother at QB. Montreal gets the job done against Hamilton, while Saskatchewan cruises over a decimated Calgary squad.
