CFL Pick 'Em, Week 15: Chaos on the general sports front make this post a little late (hockey? baseball? wtf?), but the CFL plays on. Make your picks inside.

Every time I post a good week Mr.Frisby somehow manages to beat it.

Whaddya wanna bet that there will be another quarterback controversy in BC before it's all over this year? SportSelect has the Lions favored by 1.5 on the road. Is this a Grey Cup preview? If it is, I'm gonna have to take the Bombers by 3 in a nailbiter. This one could surprise a lot of people. Lefors might just want to show people what he's really capable of, all the more impressive against the Argo D. But this could boil down to special teams, so I'm gonna have to take Toronto by 10. Montreal by 9. That's a win, but doesn't cover the spread. But a win is a win for Montreal at this point. They're fighting for home field advantage in the east now. Riders. This one is gonna be a blowout. Saskatchewan is gonna beat 'em on the ground I think. And on D. No contest ... and Higgins' job might be on the line. Green Riders by 35.

I saw Margaret Atwood at a writer's festival a few years ago. BC by 5. She was telling a story about being at a cocktail party in Toronto, and was chatting to another guest. He asked her what she did for a living. Toronto by 17. When she replied she was a writer, he started to tell her about the great novel he always dreamed of writing, only if he had the time, but he was so busy. Montreal by 13. She asked him what he did, and he replied that he was a neurosurgeon. Calgary by 3. Margaret Atwood then said that she would have liked to have been a doctor, too, and if she had the time would love to just pop the top off a few skulls and have a bit of a poke around.

No further comments at this time, your honor. Since it's CFL pick 'em, shouldn't that be "honour?" I'm just sayin'. B.C. by 5 Toronto by 8 Montreal by 6 Calgary by 3

You know, I thought it sounded familiar, but I've lost the use of so many brain cells over the years, I've come to doubt myself in situations like this.

I'm such an idiot. Here I am, trying to find the scores from this weekend, and then I realize I miswrote the schedule above. It's the friggin' Thanksgiving weekend, so of COURSE those last two games are today.

Keep this up, and the authorities will revoke your Canadian Membership Card. Hell, even I knew today was Thanksgiving in Canada. Actually, I just noticed ten minutes ago when I looked at the calendar for something totally unrelated. Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!

Toronto counts on its defence and gets just enough Michael Bishop to grit out a tough road win. Montreal, still inconsistent, can't do the same in Saskatchewan. Hamilton comes close, while Calgary just doesn't.
