Spofi EPL fantasy footie: Week 28 update.

With a 63, Salmonbellies enjoyed his best week yet. Meanwhile, Middle Pocket Mares, 00100011 00110001's, Salmacis FC, Sauril's WideBoys, Inter Hoxton, and Zizou Headbutters each posted their worst week yet. I'm just going to guess that that had something to do with Arsenal and Chelsea playing in the Carling Cup final. The Red Mist takes top spot for the second week. Previously topped week 17. Upper V, Bitches! and EnFuego really went for it this week incurring 12 transfer penalty points. I believe that EnFuego would top that table with 84 points deducted (by my calculation). Salmonbellies had his highest weekly finish yet. Vaulting up from the lower reaches at that. In the previous 13 weeks he was typically in the mid-20s to 30s except for a 15th place finish in week 22. What is the secret? Make no transfers, make tottenham's Lennon for captain, and get good weeks out of Gerrard and Hyppia. Easy! Range Park Queens has reached his highest overall placing yet. And, after clinging to 36th place for the previous 13 weeks, HATER 187 has been passed and is now, for the first time, in last place.

This Gameweek 29 is looking good. If my double-match players all play next week, I should be moving up. If they score goals (I'm looking at you, Drogba), I'll be shooting up the charts.

With Chelsea playing 4 games in 11 days you'll be damn lucky to see their top side against (cough cough) Citeh. Congrats to the Liverpool fans for not whining over their non-winning record at Anfield against United. In 7 years.

I am doing a whole lot better than last week. Must be something to do with an excess of Arse and Chelse players in my team. It's good when they get 2 games, pretty ordinary when they play and it doesn't count (curse you, League Cup!).

I know you 'pool fans realize I was just having a little dig...no harm intended. Liverpool completely outplayed United, more so than any team I've seen play against them in a long, long time. Crouchie caused problems when he came in, and if he just powered a header instead of bringing it down with his chest to volley, that probably would have been game over. Of course Van der Sar made the kind of save which made United buy him before last season. When it got to extra time I went into my talking to the TV mode: Run clock run. Let's get the hell out of here with a point. Right about that time...well...you know.

I can't fraking believe it was John O'Shea who got the United goal. Seriously, this guy barely belongs on their squad, we shut them down the whole match and then.. frak. Ah well, Barca are up in a few minutes, another chance for a memorable result.

Tex, Liverpool save their best performance for the better teams. Even in losing to Barca today, they dominated and, ultimately, won the tie. Yeaaaaaaah! And also, I'm just having a little dig at Utd fans. And the harm was all intended.

Tex: With Chelsea playing 4 games in 11 days you'll be damn lucky to see their top side against (cough cough) Citeh. Tex, I'm sure you're saying that coz, inside, you're just quaking over the fact that I'll be leapfrogging you in the standings soon. Chelsea may have 4 games in 11 days for which they'll need to protect their players. But I doubt they'll rest their top scorer completely for an EPL game when they're trailing Man U by 9 pts with 10 games to go. Besides, I have 5 other players who play 2 games this gameweek, so I'll be expecting more progress up the table.

Tex, Liverpool save their best performance for the better teams. I understand where you're coming from wc2002. It's a good thing United are only 19 points ahead of you in the league or we would be seeing the real Liverpool. Tex, I'm sure you're saying that coz, inside, you're just quaking over the fact that I'll be leapfrogging you in the standings soon. Yes, I admit, I do get a bit quakish over fantasy football. I guess I'll have to resign myself to a probable top 3 finish in the form table. For the 3rd round in a row.
