So the front page is for Serious Posts that warrant discussion ... how about an unthreaded, persistent message board where any sports-related post is in bounds? Basically for game updates, chest-pounding after wins etc.

ok I jinxed them. They were up 7-2. But in the 8th they have walked home 4 runs, each time, with the bases loaded. WTF!!?!?!?! Maybe they are making it close so Gagne can get the save ...

jasonspaceman, who calls the game on that? I have the MLB Extra Innings package and I often get the Fox feed with Vin Scully calling the game. I'm a dodger fan just because of him.

usfbull: Vin Scully didn't make the East Coast trip so Rick Monday was announcing. It is rumored though that he will travel east when they play the Blue Jays in the middle of June, which I hope to see, if I have any money left after closing on our house June 1st. I met Vin once in Montreal. Very nice guy. I was a kid, messing around outside of the hotel (we always stayed at the same hotel as the team). I ran around a corner to catch a glimpse of a really gorgeous lady walking by and I ran right into Vin. Almost knocked him over.

yes, two seperate people ... although Vin has been known to be often mistaken for Ron Howard.

whenever you guys want to plan one. post it on the flickr board and show up. its really very very open format. chat/post whenever. it'd be cool to do chats for nationally broadcasted games, or even regional games if there's enough audience. i'll add you now! anyone else want in?
